Cheek Enhancement

Full, prominent cheeks are one of the main signs of a healthy, youthful appearance. In the prime of our youth we have plenty of fatty tissue in the cheek area that causes them to look this way, and unfortunately as we age we begin to lose these fat deposits. In addition to this, our facial skeleton loses its dense bone structure over time, also leading to depleted volume and sunken cheeks. This often also leads to sagging in the lower face, causing deeper nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines).

Volume loss in the cheek area also results in you losing that firm tight skin we all associate with a youthful appearance, ending up in an aged, worn appearance.

Luckily we can now counter this natural aging process through the use of dermal fillers. We inject dermal filler into the cheek area in a measured and precise way to replace the volume that has been lost over time, whilst aiming to remain as symmetrical as possible on both sides of the face. This treatment rejuvenates the cheeks, leads to firmer skin and can reduce the appearance of the nasolabial folds

At REACH we believe the key is to provide you with a natural looking result, and therefore our aim is to simply replace volume that has been lost over time. No overfilling from us.

How long does this procedure take?

It is a relatively quick and easy procedure to undergo. Average treatment time is 20-30 minutes but add in time for a consultation.

How long do the effects last?

As with all dermal filler procedures, this depends on your body and how quickly it breaks down the product. On average we expect the fillers to last 9-18 months.

How much volume will I need?

We would normally gauge this at the consultation. We usually recommend 1ml in both cheeks and taking it from there. Less is more and filling the cheeks in a step-by-step manner is the safest way.

Are there any side effects?

There may be some mild redness in the treated area, which usually resolves after a few hours. Swelling is uncommon with this procedure but can happen. Occasionally bruising can occur which normally resolves within 5-7 days. Make-up can be applied during this time.
